Temporary cap on domestic airfares to be removed from March 23

The Ministry of Civil Aviation will remove the temporary cap on domestic airfares from March 23, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said, ending pricing controls in place since December 2025. The cap was introduced after IndiGo disruptions triggered a sharp spike in ticket prices. In its order, the ministry said airlines are required to exercise pricing discipline and act responsibly.

What are LPG ATMs?

LPG ATMs are automated, self-service kiosks that allow customers to exchange empty cylinders for filled ones without visiting a traditional gas agency, News18 reported. They're designed to cut waiting time, offer 24/7 access, minimise human intervention, and digitise cylinder distribution. Most machines currently dispense 10 kg cylinders, and the process is automated and takes about 2–3 minutes.



Delhi roads set to get QR Code boards for public feedback

PWD is installing QR codes on boards along newly repaired roads in Delhi to let people lodge complaints. Once scanned with a smartphone, the code will show the road’s name, length, public money spent on it and the agency in charge of building it. If someone notices poor maintenance or potholes, they can use the same link to file complaints.

Vessel Aqua Titan carrying Russian crude oil reaches Mangaluru

Aqua Titan, the vessel carrying Russian crude oil, reached Mangaluru on Saturday, and the oil onboard will be offloaded Sunday morning, an NDTV report said. The tanker was originally en route to China when it took a U-turn towards the Indian coast. The vessel carries Urals crude from Russian ports, chartered by Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).



How much have gold and silver fallen in a week?

Gold prices in Delhi have fallen by ₹10,550 per 10 grams in a week, while silver has dropped by ₹25,000 per kilogram, according to data from the All India Sarafa Association. On March 20, gold was priced at ₹1,52,650 per 10 grams and silver at ₹2,40,500 per kilogram in Delhi. The price fall is triggered by Middle East tensions.
