Ultimate Fighting Championship lost $30 million on staging US President Donald Trump's 'Freedom 250' event at White House, its parent company revealed. Even after being one of the most-watched UFC events in history, the company said the $60 million event was solely responsible for a drop in its second-quarter profit margins. Arika Kundu, a 13-year-old Indian-American student from Minnesota, has developed a method to remove pesticide residues from fruits and vegetables using discarded peanut shells. She converts the shells into a biosorbent material that absorbs and traps pesticide residues from fresh produce. The treated peanut-shell material acts as a natural filter, attracting and binding pesticide residues.
Apple seeks injunction against OpenAI in trade secrets case
Apple has asked a US judge for a preliminary injunction blocking OpenAI and two ex-employees from accessing or using alleged confidential information in its trade secrets case. The company is seeking expedited discovery, including documents and depositions. The lawsuit accuses former Apple employees Chang Liu and Tang Yew Tan, now at OpenAI, of taking confidential to hardware development data.
Insurer ordered to pay Mumbai firm ₹1.2 cr for liquor lost in flood
The South Mumbai District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ordered an insurance firm to pay ₹1.2 crore to a liquor wholesaler for the stock it lost in the 2017 flood. The insurer rejected its own surveyor's recommendation in 2020 to pay the firm. The commission ordered the insurer to pay 9% interest per year, starting from when the claim was rejected.

NVIDIA has launched Alpamayo 2 Super, an AI foundation model for commercial autonomous vehicles. The model enables driverless cars to reason through complex road scenarios, predict cause and effect, and navigate safely in real time. Rajasthan High Court granted rape convict self-styled godman Asaram Bapu 20 days of parole after the state government failed to justify rejecting his parole application. The HC bench said there was no record of the convict violating law on interim bail or attempting to intimidate witnesses. He is serving a life sentence for the sexual assault of a minor.
